Building Your Gable Log Home

If time constraints or other considerations make it impractical to "do-it-yourself" you may want to contract all or portions of the assembly of your log home.

For the real pioneer who chooses to build his own log home, you are assured that Gable Log Homes has designed simplicity of construction into their log building systems. Each log that goes into one of these fine homes is precision cut to fit. Easy to read blueprints are provided with each log package showing the placement of the pre-numbered logs. Many of the logs are interchangeable to reduce sorting time.

Delivery of your Gable Log Home Package

All Gable Log Homes are sold FOB/Sumter SC. Freight costs to your building site will vary depending on the mileage from the mill. We will be happy to arrange for your log package delivery and will provide an estimate of freight charges in advance.

For delivery of your Gable Log Homes package you should have a road to your site that will accommodate a tractor trailer rig. You will also need to have a 6,000 pound minimum fork lift with inflatable tires on the site - the day of the delivery to off load your log package. We suggest that you have hay to place around the log bundles to prevent rain splash, and 4x4's or small trees to stack bundles on.

Paying For Your Home

Financing your new Gable Log Home is, of course, your responsibility. However, a Gable Log Homes representative will gladly assist you in your financial arrangements. The order for your Gable Log Home package must be accompanied with a 15% down payment. The next payment of 35% of your package price is due 30 days prior to delivery. The balance of the purchase price is due upon delivery.
